Indoor Flying Night
Friday night was organised for indoor flying at the BARC.
(Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre).
The three basketball courts being rather ideal for our purposes.
Seventeen people registered @ $5 each. Not all were club members, I don't know how that worked, but it was all very friendly and enjoyable.
I believe everyone had a most enjoyable evening, I am sure that there will be more of these to come.
Rod flew this lovely looking Tiger Moth, putting it back together was easy as it is held together by magnets.
Rob lands his Eflight heli after some nifty twirling of the sticks.
Kim had exciting times with his micro Boomerang.
Parkzone T28 expertly piloted by Ken was a swift circulator.
Our big raffle prize was on show for ticket sales.

Wednesday
NO, he's NOT grumpy.
He has just had a great fly of his own-design Vulcan.
It goes like a rocket with its two new EDF units.
Graeme brought out the Skyraider, now adorned with lovely graphics.
Note the nifty retractable tail wheel.
Pilot waiting patiently for the undercart to be pumped up.
Enjoy the lovely decals made by 'Cal-grafx Hobby Art' a decal making mob in Florida, they are beautiful and Graeme has gone to much trouble to apply them very carefully.
Of course the application of "rivets" was a little more delicate an operation.
Looking great under command of David C.
Gear down and locked.
A most graceful return to the runway.

A Good Weekend
Saturday Night Social Dinner Evening was a great success with about 27 people attending.
Sandra and Lorraine prepared an excellent roast beef and veges dinner with the most able assistance of Carole-Anne and Lynette.
A most convivial atmpsphere.
Caleb and David C head out to the runway for a night-flight.
Very Dark out there.
Amazingly, even I could see the orientation most of the time, had to watch very closely though.
Ben also did some Heli flying in his usual high speed manner, impossible to photograph.
Sunday was cold but very good flying with a good attendance.

Sunday Already
Cold wind today, but plenty of members turned up to fly.
Ben had this own design Quadcopter to fly, it's a project for school.
Ply sandwiching 10mm balsa 'fuselage' with aluminium square tube motor support arms and aluminium sheet undercarriage.
I love those wooden props.
I was surprised how heavy it is and I tried it without the battery.
Note the onboard LCD screen to assist in programming the card from Hobby King.

July Tenth was the AGM, I wasn't present as I was interstate.
Congratulations to Graeme, re-elected president.
Also to Bruce S, vice president.
Brian is the secretary again as Ian M is treasurer again.
Sunday we had very good weather on wet grass as it had rained Saturday, the western pit area (pictured) is now sporting a nice conveyor surface.
All is most excellent!

Super Sunday
Fabulous weather today!
Freezing-fingers very early on but developed into a coat-off day.
Quite a lot of guys turned up to enjoy.
I haven't seen Brians C5 Galaxy for some time after one of the fans had a meltdown, but some new fans arrived last week and OH BOY do they have a lot of thrust.
Two have found their way onto the inboard pylons powered by 4Cells and looking a bit less scale as there are no engine casings inboard any more, but they look fine because they have metal housings.
There are two others which are destined for Brians own-design Vulcan, can't wait for that.
Rear view shows the exposed outrunner motor.
The outer plastic fans run off 3 cells.
Looking very good in the air.
Sounds the part very nicely too!

Sun Sunday
A freezing-fingers start with sunshine was the order of the day.
By lunchtime it was quite pleasant.
Ian (inset) is very relaxed cruising his glider about the sky.
There were lots of guys flying I just managed to catch this one.
The Skywalker punted about by Ian S.
Can't help feeling it ought to have a windshield for the pilot.
OOOOOps!
No Pilot.

Soggy Sunday
The heading says it all, the rain started after our flying on Wednesday and has hardly stopped since. I headed out to the field this morning to see if any other idi...... eerrr blokes would be there, Ben was flying this fairly new heli, Electric Of Course! I was impressed by his practising auto-rotate landings. Rob assembled his 'Apprentice'.
A spectator turned up followed by Pres Graeme he didn't get a model out, I flew my 'Bellhop', needing to test it after adjusting push-rods, which fortunately was a non-event.
