'Crisp' sunday
Ralph is no exception, his "DC3" did not go well at first attempt a few weeks ago, jammed ailerons was the diagnosis, this time they won't jam, Brian is seeing to that.
Tom was wearing out the undercart of this already long-lived model doing touch-and-go multiple repeats a lot.
Ron was in fine form.
Ralphs "DC3" gets off the deck, click for video.

Grey Wednesday
A very grey day but not TOO cold.
Plenty of time to chat between aviation sorties.
Ken dusted off this old model and spent some time persuading the engine to idle in a nice polite manner and hopefully therefore, desist in always wanting to keep up Kens deadstick skills.
I believe the beast was eventually tamed.
Ian spent quite a while cleaning combustion goo off his model so he could put it in his car.
Much aviating was committed and a good time was had by all.

Bunnings Saturday
SATURDAY 13 June we were sizzling again at Bunnings Bairnsdale Store |
Some of the regulars hard at work. |
I sincerely thank the volunteers who make these sizzle events happen.
Early afternoon came the presentation.
Tony Nazrallah, Bunnings community relations head presented the club with a nifty RYOBI Leaf Blower/Vac. which will come in mighty handy at the field for shifting loose debris from here to there.
Many thanks to Tony and Bunnings management for their generosity once again.

MID MAY MUSTER
(AT LAST!)
MMM held for the first time at our new home, 'VMAA State Field Eastern' www.badmac.org.au
Excellent weather, the forecast was spot on, absolute perfection was only possible if there had been a breeze straight down the runway.
There were 23 pilots registered with 37 models but many more models were displayed.
From memory, visitors were from GMAC, PARCS, P&DARCS, LVMAC, SADAC, SWAMPS.
Most of our visiting club members had not been to 'VMAA State Field Eastern' before and all were most impressed with the facilities.
There were to be no more than 4 models in the air at once, as a result there was very little time when there was nothing in the air.
No taxiing in the pits?
Mark Radburn has the answer to that.
Sixth scale Jeep for sixth scale Spitty, how cool is that?
Produce of the kitchen was enthusiastically consumed.
Ben was most unfortunate when he collected the windsock mast just after takeoff with Robs Mustang.
Compounding his not-so-good day, during his 3D heli display it crashed.
Very bad luck, commiserations Ben.
Prizewinners were:-
PILOTS CHOICE: PAUL MITCHELL F82 TWIN MUSTANG - LVMAC
TAKE OFF: BEN BIGGS P51 MUSTANG - BADMAC
LANDING: WAYNE LEWIS SPACE WALKER - LVMAC
REALISM: LIN BOLDING GYPSY MOTH - BADMAC
RAFFLE: 4 BURNER BBQ: L REID - LVMAC
YOUNGEST PILOT: ALEX CHIGGWIDDEN AGE 7 - SWAMPS

Friday Indoor
Yes, Mid May Muster will eventually get up.
David C has a go at tweaking my Waco to see if he can make it fly.
Tom is trimming his free-flight model
Bree flew her Twister and a mini Vapor
Tom fuels up the free-flight.
Note his nifty miniature winding device.
Toms models circled and climbed slowly almost to the lights, circled for a minute then slowly circled to land, all very quiet and sedate.
It was a good night, it's a pity that not many turned up to enjoy.

Lots of discussion about models and indoor.
