GLIDERS.

Battery power enables us to control our models in the air.

When the battery runs flat, sometimes the model keeps flying.

SOMETIMES they are snagged by a tree.

Yeah, Brians nifty glider, stranded.

Help on the ground from Mick and Rob along with a lot of string, a bit of weight, a long length of thin rope and HEAPS of energy.

Eventually.....SUCCESS

HEAVE HO, HEAVE HO, HEAVE HO, HEAVE HO.

SOMEHOW

It must have got caught up in the string when it was dislodged.

Lowered gently to the ground and returned to Brian.

NOT - A - SCRATCH!.

Well done those blokes.

VJAA Weekend

 The weekend meeting of the Jets flyers was very well attended, pilots came from all over the place. Weather was fair, sunny and not too windy.

Come-and-try day.

Yesterday was 'Come-and-try' day.
We had a good turn-up of members and a few tryers.

We had two simulators running and quite a few people try them out.

This young bloke came back for more after two good flights outside with Chippy.

A good day despite the wind.

Digging the dirt

 Lots of work on Wednesday, trenching for the new water-bore power and water pipes. The usual suspects were hard at work.

The new bore pump is a real game-changer. Lots more work to come to finish it.

Working

Guttering has now been installed on the shelter thanks to hard work by Dave, Ian and Rob plus others.  The drain installation is nothing less than a piece of art.
