Recent Observations

Reasonably nice weather causes members to front up and fly.
Steve shows how best to get your model back to the pits

Pesky infernal combustion engines have to be fiddled with prior to flight.

FINALLY, cowl on and.............

OFF WE GO!
Kim brought along his FW190 to commit aviation once more.

Some models do not like travelling fast on the ground.
and they trip over their own wheels

Then co-operate and spectacular flight takes place.

Only to chuck a tantrum when having to land.
Sorry Kim and David.
:) Geoff.

First Wednesday 2018

Weather was just a little bit windy, but quite a few guys turned up to enjoy a flight.
Bruce decided to launch his  big flying wing by bungee, great success.
I have been trying to get a half way decent shot of Toms PT22 airborne for ages, FINALLY succeeded! He installed a different prop and is much happier with its performance.
:) Geoff.

14 December 2017

Christmas celebration.

The Retreat Hotel, Nicholson was the venue, we were not the only patrons it was packed, camaraderie and food was excellent.
Thoughfulness at the silly riddles

The raffle main prizes of rides in a Tiger Moth kindly donated by Pete A and
Ron B along with a $50 gift voucher to Bairnsdales favourite toy shop donated by Brian and Lorraine raised $250 for the club.

Edith H and Tony W will go flying and Ron B will spend up big at ToyLand.
Huge thanks to all who attended and contributed to a great evening.
:) Geoff

New from Tom.

This was a battered old hulk when it arrived in the shed, Tom took pity and has transformed it into a superb 'Museum' rated piece.
It is a Ryan PT22

Fabulous work from Tom and not only that -- it also Flies!
:) Geoff

Addendum

I had lots of pics of the recent working bees, I thought I would upload some.
