VJAA Weekend '24

 Weekend 17-18 August the Victorian Jet Aerosport Association returned for their annual general meeting. The weather forecasts had all been a little unfavourable, but the result was not real bad, wind direction and speed was  quite alright for everyone and a great deal of flying was carried out. Pilots who did not turn up for the Sunday missed out on some good flying.

Here are a bunch of photos of the weekend, in no particular order, with big thanks to Rob K for most of them.

The visitors packed up a little early on account of running out of fuel.

On Sunday, our mascot guarding the field received some TLC.

A new propeller and the vertical stabiliser repaired, then back up on guard.

Great weather at the field and plenty of pilots here. A bunch of our associate members here for the weekend with plenty of flying and camaraderie all round.

A nice Sunday

 Not a lot of pilots today, must all have gone to church for Easter Sunday.

However, Tony and Darcy turned up and assembled the latest Spitfire model.

There's a lot of stuff in there.

Darcy flew it brilliantly.

         Pesky retract broke on landing.

 Those who came had a fine day for flying and enjoyed themselves.

IMAC Again

 The IMAC team returned for competition yesterday, the weather was overcast and a bit breezy but it cleared up a bit in the afternoon, today was WINDY but they seemed to cope mostly.

 Here's Will, having a go at his second competition event.

Well done those blokes.

I believe that everyone had a great time.

I reckon that they'll be back and that's OK by us.
